God faithfully provided again!

As a self employed, stay over pet sitter; I rely on my client’s travels for my income. I have fifteen steady clients who travel often who keep my schedule relatively booked solid throughout the year. In years past; I was always packing a bag to head off to Buckhead for two weeks, on the Chattahoochie for 3 weeks, or over to Johns Creek for one. By January, my schedule for all of 2020 was booked pretty solid, starting in February. I had 2 assignments and then COVID hit. The cancellations started rolling in one and kept rolling in one after another. I kept thinking well maybe next month I’ll be able to get back to work. As you can imagine, this put an immediate halt to my income, which I had been planning on. Mind you, I’ve been in a similar place before with the Lord, with delays and disruptions to my income when I was battling a very serious bout of Lyme disease stretching across years. God had provided then, and therefore I knew he would provide now. I had already been through this battle in years past. I had thrown my bills on the floor and danced on them worshipping God because I was simply too tired going from check to check with single digit numbers in my checkbook after paying the bills. God already helped me through this. I wasn’t giving back any ground to the enemy.

So I proceeded to do what I normally do during my off times, I took on a foster dog. One dog turned into five while the cancellations kept rolling in. Somewhere along the line I got a nail in the sidewall of my tire and that was replaced free (under warranty), and I broke my ankle. I just kept fostering and trusting. And the blessings started to pour in. First someone from my EmpowHer group took me shopping and PayPal’ed me money, two other people dropped off groceries, a client PayPal’ed me money, another client sent me part of their stimulus check, a friend repaid a kindness I showed her when she was lacking income—and she sent a check, the stimulus check arrived, another friend dropped off a gift card to the grocery store, another friend handed me some cash. two more checks and another grocery store gift card arrived. They all made up for the amount of money I needed to pay the bills for March through May. Praise God. He did it again.

Yes, all of June has already cancelled, and even though July through November is booked solid, I cannot count on it. What I do know is that I can count on my God to supply all of my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! AMEN!
