SUPPORT FAM

Does your heart beat for the needs of vulnerable child? Would you like to do more? We believe that through strengthening families, we best serve vulnerable children. It is our passion to help vulnerable children stay in their birth families, avoiding the foster system, and to help bio parents get their children home after being in foster care - this is the beautiful expression of redemption and reconciliation that is our Gospel.  We love coming around vulnerable families, foster families, and adoptive families to support and strengthen them when they need it most! Bring your strength to serve + support one of the ministires under FAM whether through joining a Care Community, meeting care portal needs, or giving to the Northlands Adoption Fund.

CARE COMMUNITIES

Care Communities wrap themselves around a family who has chosen to foster or adopt. We come alongside the families + vulnerable children inside + outside of our church offering practical help + support these families need. Our Care Communities consist of 5-7 dedicated members bringing regular meals + support to a specific family.

CARE PORTAL

Care Portal offers a place for you to discover the needs of foster families + vulnerable children in the area. This is an online system that makes you aware of the needs via email so you can donate finances, time, or furniture to make a difference in a local family with vulnerable children. We encourage the entire Northlands family to consider joining the Care Portal!

ADOPTION FUND

The Northlands Adoption Fund helps families in our church with some of the financial realities that are involved in the adoption process. We have a team that administers these funds to hopeful adoptive parents. Consider setting up a small monthly donation into this fund to help bring vulnerable children into forever families here at Northlands.

Family is God's Intention

God promises to “set the lonely in families” (Psalm 68:6) and we’re dedicated to joining this effort. Through our Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM), we’re working to provide what vulnerable children in our local community need most––strong families.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress” James 1:27
