God’s Word Will Change Your Life
God's words produce life and fruitfulness in us.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11 (NIV)
Have you ever wondered why you’re drawn to people who speak life giving words that build you up and don’t tear you down? Want to be more like that yourself?
Jesus was the greatest example of speaking life giving words. His words always have a purpose. They bring life. They help us to see ourselves and our situation from His perspective! Scripture tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and God’s words are life to all who find them. When we speak God’s words, we are declaring His perspective over our circumstances.
Here’s a great place to start:
Father, thank you that, through Your grace, I have the mind of Christ. Thank you that abundant life is mine, and I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! Make Your words alive in my spirit, Lord, and help me to bring life to those I speak to this day (1 Corinthians 2:16, John 10:10, Philippians 4:13).
Whatever the circumstances, go to the scriptures and let God’s words saturate you. Read them out loud and declare what God says about your circumstances. Scriptures will come alive in your spirit, change your mind (change the way you think) and change your life!
Prayer
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Your words of life. Help me to see and speak Your words in every situation.
