My son was deployed in Afghanistan this past year. He had an assignment to go into difficult territory. God woke and warned me in the night to pray for my son.
I aligned my prayers with what I felt the Holy Spirit was saying. A couple hours later, my son called to say he had been shot by a sniper; but, the helmet he was wearing ricocheted the bullet and he was saved. We have since prayed for healing from the concussion. I am so grateful for God's continual protection over my son's life and for the Holy Spirit's ever-present help.
