The Great Undoer

by: LauraBoal

When God clears the rubble of old habits and old damage from our lives, it means He is getting ready to build something better.

God’s Son appeared for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8b (CEB)

Have you ever wished that life had an “undo” button? If only that hadn’t happened… if only I’d said ‘yes’… if only I’d said ‘no’!

Too often in life, we can’t undo what has been done, or unsay what has been said. But God is the great Undoer. Whenever someone is saved, or healed, or delivered, we see the Lord at work, undoing the works of the enemy. When God renews our minds and changes the way we think, taking away old, destructive thought patterns, that’s His undoing, too!

What do you wish the Lord could undo in you? Would it be fear? Maybe it’s doubt or unbelief. Maybe it’s guilt or shame, insecurity or regret. Maybe it’s an old sin habit. Whatever it is, just stop for a moment and let your imagination run free. What would your life be like if all those things were completely washed away?

Here’s the exciting part. Are you ready? God loves you, and He wants more, better life for you than you can possibly imagine. He wants healing and freedom for you more than you want it for yourself. And He has released the power to make that possible! The enemy may have spent years building destructive thoughts, beliefs and habits in your mind and your life. It doesn’t matter. They are no match for the great Undoer. The Lord can tear down those old strongholds, clear away the rubble and give you a great foundation for wonderful, new strongholds of faith, hope, love, healing, freedom, and redemption. He is the greatest architect of all time: He rebuilds peoples’ lives!

Let’s go right now and ask Father if there’s anything He wants to undo in you.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for loving me. I’ve been struggling with ___ and I can’t fix it on my own. You are the great Undoer. Will You help?

Thank You that Jesus already paid the cost to fix my problem. I’m turning it over to You now. Please feel free to change anything inside me, or anything outside me, as You see fit. Show me how to rely on You and how to live in Your life and freedom, and fill me even more with Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
