Promise-Keeper
God always keeps His promises!
“That’s right,” the LORD replied, “and I always rise early to keep a promise.” Jeremiah 1:12 CEV
One of the greatest characteristics of God is His truthfulness. He is a God who can be trusted because He keeps His Word. In fact, He cannot lie! Every promise He has made, He will fulfill. Not only does He “rise early to keep a promise”, but all of His promises are Yes and Amen. We can rest, knowing that God is not like anyone else who may have let us down or turned their backs on us. We can rest, knowing that God is “for” us and at the right time, everything we’ve been believing Him for will happen (Hebrews 6:18, Numbers 23:19, 2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV).
What promises has the Lord made to you? Remind Him now, with thankfulness and confidence, because He is the great promise keeper.
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for teaching me to trust You. Even when I cannot see anything changing, help me to know and believe that every promise You have made to me will happen because You cannot lie and because You love me.
