We are hungry to move downfield in understanding God's will for us. Join us for this year's Northlands Conference.
If people believed they could discover God’s will for them, surely there would be a long line of people eager to find it out. Those who believe it is unattainable won’t spend any time in its pursuit. But what if it is attainable? What if we can discover the will of God? What if we are called to live in a surplus of understanding?
Colossians 1:9 So ever since we first heard about you we have kept on praying and asking God to help you understand what he wants you to do; asking him to make you wise about spiritual things; (TLB)
Colossians 1:9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you.We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives (NIV)
Paul, the author of the scripture above certainly believed we could know it. In fact, his constant prayer was for us to be filled with the knowledge of His will. This understanding of what He wants us to do is a great gain, because it gives us tremendous focus and confidence. When we take the time to discover God’s will and to act on that knowledge, we discover supernatural encounters on a grand adventure of faith.
In Romans chapter 12:2, Paul re-affirms our ability to test and affirm what God’s will is. Rather than leaving us in the dark, God means for us to be filled with light. He wants us to know. Don’t give up seeking, asking or knocking for this treasure. When you find it, you will be so glad you persevered.
This year when we were discussing our annual conference, Michelle and I talked about the kind of conference that we would love to attend. We weren’t sure we needed another sermon, but we knew we were hungry for a conference that could move us downfield in understanding God’s will for us. So we asked office prophets to join us, to teach and prophesy and to equip and encourage us towards a clearer perspective of His will. We are looking for equipping sermons and confirming prophecy.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Join us this Sunday evening at our monthly prayer meeting and again at this year’s conference as we become the generation of people who seek the Lord, asking Him to fill us with the knowledge of His will. He rewards those kinds of seekers with the treasures of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I pray that many people’s lives are set on course by this year’s conference as they understand what God wants them to do.
