Growing in the Church

 
Without a personal experience with God, church has about as much meaning as a game of baseball without the ball. The players can dress up in uniforms, put on their equipment, run out on the field, swing the bat, cheer, and run around the bases, but sooner or later you have to ask: what’s the point of all this?

It’s the same with church. Apart from a personal relationship with the true God, church has no significance. On the other hand, when someone looks for God, they will find not just Him but his people also, because His plan for maturing is centered around His church.
