Children’s Ministries

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 19:14

Children’s Ministries at Northlands are all about kids encountering God and growing in a personal relationship with Him.

We believe God invites His children of all ages to know Him and hear His voice.  Through Bible-based lessons, worship and ministry, along with crafts and games, the children at Northlands experience God in age-appropriate experiences.

Our Children’s Ministries fall into three groups: Little Lambs, JAM Club, and RiverZone.

Little Lambs is our ministry during church services for infants through toddlers.  These littlest saints are not only cared for but introduced to worship, prayer and beginning Bible stories. The Little Lambs ministry provides a fully staffed nursery offering a loving and secure environment for little children during Sunday Service and other special church service times.

J.A.M. Club (Jesus and Me) is for Toddlers – 4 year olds and meets during the main service (10 am – 11:45 am).  This is a time for preschoolers to experience God through Bible lessons, crafts and games.  We believe that children are sensitive to the Holy Spirit even at this young age, so space is made for worship, praying and listening to God.

RiverZone is for children ages K – 6th grade and meets during the main service (10 am – 11:45 am).  Sunday morning in RiverZone is our special time to experience the presence of God and respond to what He is showing us in various art forms, crafts and games. We worship, and have ministry, object lessons, and skits in large group lesson time together. We also spend time in age-appropriate small groups learning Bible lessons. We emphasize a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and learn to apply the Scripture to our everyday life experiences.
